
Sean Cameron:
We are introduced to Sean three episodes into Season 1. He stands out as the bad boy at Degrassi. We learn that he used to attend Degrassi but moved to Wasaga Beach. Emma is very excited to see Sean and ends up asking him to a school dance amidst a confrontation Sean has with Jimmy Brooks. Both Emma and Sean attend the dance together and end up going out later in the season. Sean constantly shows his love for Emma by standing up for her on numerous occasions including at the cabaret and during her battle to place a tampon dispenser in the girl’s bathroom. Sean ends up jeopardizing his relationship with Emma when he attends Ashley Kerwin’s party. Sean asks Ashley to dispose of ecstasy brought to the party by JT but she instead decides to consume it. This impairs her judgment to the point where she drags Sean into her room and begins making out with him. Emma finds out about the encounter and is seen crying alongside Toby as Sean leaves the party.
Season 2
Sean makes a new friend in Season 2 when he meets Craig Manning. When Craig expresses his desire to run away, Sean refuses to join him prompting Craig to run away alone. This leaves Sean to seek Emma and Joey’s help to find Craig. Just as Ashley begins recuperating after her fallout, Sean decides to ask her out. Ashley accepts but later denies the invitation as a result of growing pressure from her friends. Sean and Emma also share a moment of love this season. With Spike and Snake’s wedding quickly approaching, Emma decides to invite some of her friends but fails to invite Sean. Manny ends up taking the initiative to invite Sean. When Emma finds out, she asks Manny to repeal the invitation, when shortly thereafter she reinstates it. At the wedding both Sean and Emma dance and have a romantic kissing session. Unfortunately, Sean has an issue with alcohol this season. With his brother fired from work and his visits to Emma’s house for meals, Sean begins to feel that the life of a drunk would suit him. However, after acting foolish at Jimmy’s party and having Emma’s mom pick him up, he changes his mind and promises Emma that he will no longer drink.
Season 3
With the onslaught on of season 3, Sean begins to adapt a new look. He witnesses Degrassi’s trouble makers Alex, Jay and Towerz break into a vending machine and rob it. Naturally, Mr. Raditch suspects Sean is responsible for the intrusion and holds him for interrogation. Sean, unhappy with the situation initiates a fight with Jay. While both are in the principal’s office, however, they begin to develop a friendship. When Emma denounces this friendship and Sean’s romantic advances in the ravine, Sean is left to think that their relationship is over. That afternoon he encourages Jay to pilfer Snake’s laptop from the media immersion room. Emma attempts to rekindle their relationship the following day but Sean refuses to comply. Emma then slowly begins to realize that Sean is responsible for the robberies at Degrassi. With Sean’s relationship with Emma over, he is left to deal with Liberty’s interest in him. Sean outright informs Liberty of his romantic distaste for her and encourages her to go for Towerz, Sean’s new friend. Sean does, however, get a new girlfriend when he meets Amy. Emma, jealous of the relationship attempts to get Sean into trouble by taking advantage Chris Sharpe. She and Chris tell Mr. Raditch a fib that makes him order a search of Jay’s car. The search turns up nothing, but Sean fails to escape without a punishment. He tells Mr. Raditch to go to hell, earning him a month’s worth of detention sessions. Sean’s detention sessions end up landing him a new girlfriend in “Take On Me.” This girlfriend, Ellie Nash, is in many respects like Sean. Sean shares his involvement in the school’s thefts while Ellie shares her cutting problem when both are evading detention on the school’s roof. Sean’s perception of Ellie is changed when he discovers she has been recording their conversations. This discovery leads him to crush the tape recorder. His anger subsides when Ellie apologies and gives him the tape the following day. They then begin to date. Ellie and Sean’s relationship is once again tested as Ellie begins to spend more and more time with Marco. At one point, Ellie decides to break up with him for his rude demeanor towards Marco, but Marco himself discourages her. As if Sean’s relationship woes weren’t enough, he is left to live alone when his brother Tracker finds a new job far away. Sean’s house initially turns into a party house but returns to normal when Jay and Sean’s friendship ties are severed. To wrap up the season, Sean feels that it would be appropriate to reveal to Mr. Simpson the criminal which stole his laptop. Mr. Simpson is at first angered but later relieved to find that Sean is willing to fix his car free of charge.
Season 4
With Sean’s relationship with Ellie stronger then ever, Sean asks Ellie to move in with him. She first refuses but later accepts given her mother’s worsening alcoholic problem, which is fueling Ellie’s destructive cutting. Sean finds himself caught in a very dire situation this season. When fellow Degrassi student Rick brings a gun to school, he is forced to protect himself Emma, and Toby. In this pursuit, Rick ends up accidentally shooting himself. While students attempt to cope with happenings at Degrassi, Sean exists the school to be greeted by a reporter. He learns that the same reporter interviewed his parents earlier, who apparently shed tears over him. This encourages Sean to drive to Wasaga Beach with Ellie Jay and Emma. While in Wasaga beach, Sean meets with the person he deafened. They have a confrontation which is subsequently subdued by Ellie and Jay. The boy, Tyler, however, ends up saving Sean after a jet ski accident. When Sean returns home from the beach, his parents admit they made mistakes but say his move to Toronto was the only way they could keep him out of trouble. When the time comes that the group must return home, Sean decides that he must stay. Ellie and exchange goodbye’s and sadly go their separate ways.
Season 5
Sean is in Wasaga Beach for the entirety of season 5.
Season 6
Sean returns to Degrassi in season 6 with a renewed love for Emma and a distaste for Ellie. Unfortunately, Emma happens to be dating Peter. Sean gets Peter into the car racing scene and end up attending races together. At one race, Sean is forced to evade the cops with Emma. After the escape is over, they proceed to make out. When Emma suggests her and Peter take a break, Peter is immediately able to detect what is going on. He decides to plant drugs in Sean’s locker. When these drugs are discovered, Sean is suspended from school. Sean ends up suggesting him and Peter race for revenge. The race ends with Sean hitting a pedestrian. Sean makes refuge to Emma’s house, where Emma tells him that he must turn himself in. Thus, he goes and turns himself in to the police. Sean finds himself extremely unhappy in prison. He is harassed and beaten by his fellow inmates. When Emma comes to attend his course case, Sean’s attorney fails to appear. This encourages Emma to attempt to raise funds for another attorney. She fails, but Snake is able to find a public attorney that can attend is hearings. When Sean is finally out of prison, he begins to get his life in order. He finds a job and gets back together with Emma. His life takes a turn once he begins to notice Emma and Jay’s strange behavior when they are in close proximity to one another. He discovers what happened with the two in the ravine, and proceeds to move and sever ties with both Emma and Jay. Sean however, returns to rekindle his relationship with Emma and move on with his life. Aside from his relationship difficulties Sean is also left to deal with JT’s death this season. Although they weren’t close, Sean claims that he would kill the person who murdered JT. Sean gets into his final fight this season as a result of Manny’s new love interest Damien. Damien is a Lakehurst student and is said to know who killed JT.
Season 7
Sean is not part of season 7. He is said to be on military leave.
