Blogs:

Degrassi TNGHO recently incorporated a user blogging feature. This feature allows registered users to create their own blogs and thus publish their own content to the site. The following rules will apply to each and every user utilizing the blogging feature.

  • Users may not publish content that is irrelevant to the site
  • Promotional/Self-serving material (videos, images, hyperlinks, etc.) may not be published unless prior approval is obtained from the owner.
  • Users may not add their own categories unless instructed or authorized to do so.
  • Users are asked to limit the usage of content published on other sites to 100 words or less. This content MUST be credited to the original source, via a hyperlink or other type of appropriate attribution. User-contributed content must be present in posts with externally-published material.
  • Users will not publish copyrighted content.
  • Users must not disclose their password to other members.
  • Users are asked to upload images of reasonable sizes to avoid excessive space usage on the server.
  • Shall an author want to initiate a forum discussion on a particular post, they are asked to copy the URL of the post in the thread, NOT the content located on the original post. Don’t cross-post between the forum and blogs.
  • Be courteous when leaving comments. Do not copy comments from the blogs over to the forums.
    Do not intentionally post inaccurate or misleading material. Those who are found doing so will face consequences.

Forum:

  • Be courteous to other members.
  • Vulgarity and posting of inappropriate material is punishable by either a temporary or permanent ban.
  • Don’t cross-post between the forum and the blogs.
  • Do not spam the forum with promotional material. Those who do so will be banned.
  • Do not intentionally post inaccurate or misleading material. Those who are found doing so will face consequences.
  • Don’t abuse the PM system.
