7/11/2005 - Kevin Smith In Season 5?

In recent days the U.S. media has been running stories on the Kevin Smith/Jason Mewes appearances on Degrassi: TNG episodes 420-422. A few different articles have been printed, but one story from MTV offers one interesting fact, this comes just after they refer to Degrassi as a “cheese fest.”

"According to the show's production company, plans are currently under
way to have Smith return for a very special episode of season five, in
which he may premiere "Jay and Silent Bob Go Canadian, Eh!" at the
high school."

So it appears that another Kevin Smith cameo is apparent in the near
