8/9/2006 - The N: Season 6 Begins 9/29/06

 

TVGuide.com just released an article on this Fall's Teen TV returns. It is reporting Degrassi: The Next Generation Season 6 will return on September 29, 2006 on The-N alongside a new season of South of Nowhere. This is actually earlier than the originally reported October date for Season 6 and marks the first time ever The N will air new Degrassi episodes before CTV in Canada (which will begin Season 6 later this year around November.) It also gives some small plots for season 6, including internet scandals, violent school rivalries, and possible prison time. Here is an excerpt below:

"Life doesn't get any easier for the kids at Degrassi Community, with story lines including Internet scandals, a school rivalry that turns violent, and possible prison time in Season 6 of Degrassi: The Next Generation (Sept. 29, The N). Things are just as tough out West on South of Nowhere (Sept. 29, The N) as addiction, death, hate crimes and the arrival of a long-lost sibling rock the Carlin family's multiracial world."
