4/24/2007 - First Shots of Season 7; CTV 618 Broadcast Date

 

Shooting began yesterday for Season 7 of Degrassi: TNG and we now have a title for the first two episodes of season 7, as well as a description of a scene from it. Episodes 701 and 702 will be titled "Standing in the Dark" Parts 1 & 2 respectively. And the first scene filmed (not first of the episode) featured Paige, Alex, Ellie, & Jessie at the "university apartment" watching a romantic comedy with a despondent Marco looking at his cell phone. Below is a quote from the executive producer at Degrassi.tv:

"Just walked back from set to my office, we are just completing the first shot of the day on the first episode of Season 7--a one-hour special (701/702) that at this time is called "Standing in the Dark". It's great to be back!

The first scene we are shooting (which is not the first scene of 701) is in university apartment where Ellie, Jesse, Paige and Alex are laughing at a romantic comedy on television, while a despondent Marco looks at his cell phone..."

In other news there will be no new episode of Degrassi next Monday in Canada on CTV but 618, which is part 1 of the season finale will air on May 7th, in just two weeks.
