9/8/2005 - The N's Huge Degrassi Plans In October

A report from CableTVTalk.com about The N's, October Highlights reveals HUGE Degrassi news for the end of September through end of October on The N. The big news includes behind the scenes, Classic Degrassi, and descriptions of the first three episodes of Season 5.

Behind The Scenes
On 09/30 the N will be airing Degrassi: Behind The Scenes an hour long documentary on Degrassi that includes, cast interviews, deleted scenes, bloopers and behind the scenes footage on the Degrassi set. Speculation suggests this is the documentary that will be airing on CTV in mid-September.

Classic Degrassi Mini- Marathons
The N will be airing Degrassi Jr. High/Degrassi High episodes beginning October 6th, the night before they premier season 5. It will be a two hour mini marathon. Displaying mainly Spike episodes. Than from 10/09 through 10/23; Sundays through Thursdays The N will be airing three hour mini-marathons of every episode of Degrassi Jr. High/Degrassi High in order from Midnight to 3AM.

Degrassi Season 5
Season 5 kicks off The N with the hour long episode Venus on October 7th. In "Venus" as we have heard before "Manny will do anything to become an actress, but her big break turns out to be a nightmare." Than on 10/14 Season 5 continues on The N with "Death of a Disco Dancer" in this episode "Matt’s back from his summer tour of Canada and brings Paige back nothing but trouble."  The last October episode of season 5 is on 10/21 and is "Foolin’" in this episode, "J.T. is totally unprepared to hear Liberty’s shocking secret." The third Friday in October will not feature a new episode of Degrassi, as The N has it's Biggest Witches Halloween Weekend. It is speculated Degrassi will return with a new episode on November 4th but this has yet to be confirmed.

Degrassi “Old School” & Degrassi: The Next Generation
After the 10/14 and 10/21 episodes of Degrassi The Next Generation, The N will premiere episodes of Degrassi Jr. High and Degrassi High that dealt with a similar situation to the new episode. On 10/14 after "Death of a Disco Dancer", Degrassi High "The All-Nighter" will premiere. The episode is about a sleep over and  a bag of marijuana, trouble ensues. Than on 10/21 after "Foolin'" The N premiers Degrassi Jr. High "It's Late" the episode where Spike finds out she is pregnant. The episodes they are airing combined with the descriptions above tells us a lot about what "Death of a Disco Dancer" and "Foolin'" are about. It appears "Death of a Disco Dancer" will be the episode from The N's promo where Matt will break up with Paige and give her drugs. With "Foolin'" we pretty much have confirmation now that it will be Liberty who is pregnant.

And if all this wasn't enough for The N's Degrassi filled October, there will be mini marathons of The N shows featuring some characters witchiest moments from 10/28 through 10/30. Two of the marathons are Degrassi related as The N presents a witchy Paige in three episodes of Degrassi at 9PM on 10/28. Than on 10/29 at 10:30 we get a witchy Manny triple-feature.
