9/1/2006 - Season 6 eTalk Preview
As of today we are now officially four weeks away from the Degrassi Season 6 Premier on The N and we have some exclusive news out of Canada. Yesterday eTalk, a Canadian entertainment news show on CTV, ran a story on Degrassi's Season 6 return. While it didn't really contain any footage from season 6 there is some notable news in some of the cast interviews. We have some quotes from the story for you below.
"Miriam McDonald: The tone of the show is different, it's not only about issues facing kids in school, it's also about issues kids face living on thier own and entering the real world.
Cassie Steele: Manny still lives with Emma so thier relationship has grown and she has grown into herself more, she is very sure of herself this year.
Jake Goldsbie: Toby is going to be going through some very interesting challanges this season, and it's going to be interesting to see where his character ends up.
Deanna Casaluce: I think you can expect a growth in Alex um, and that's all I wanna give away right now.
Mike Lobel: Even though at the begining of this season Jay sorta gets another boost of bad, I guess. I definatly see discovering a more human side of him this season.
Miriam McDonald: (Emma's) back at school; she's with Peter, but all of the sudden this new guy's thorwn into the mix, and she's just totally.-- Dosn't know what to do with herself. Two boys; one girl: difficult.
Narrator: This season you can expect a cameo from the band Taking Back Sunday.
Adam Lazzara (Taking Back Sunday): I just like how every show kinda wraps up, and it ends with a lesson.
Narrator: Set to air in November, the casts say viewers should be prepared for an Episode that takes the series to a whole new level.
Ryan Cooley: They can expect a shocker, a real big shocker. I know how I reacted, how everybody else reacted; very, very shocking. One of the biggest episodes Degrassi has ever done.
Sarah Barrable-Tishauer: Degrassi always throws the shocker in, you can expect some really good stories. Obviously we can't reveal anything, you'll have to watch."
